Jobs expanded in mining, oil and natural gas industries by 60%, creating a total of 500,000 new jobs. Canada’s mining industry has come a long way since the discovery of coal now approximately 800 mining operations in Canada, producing more than 60 minerals and metals. The industry will need thousands of additional workers per year up to the year 2016. Mining is one of Australia’s largest and most dynamic industries. Oil has long been the mainstay of the UAE’s economy and current estimates say the country has oil supplies to last at least another 100 years.
